Children need to know if their parents are planning a divorce. Children can tell that there are problems. The best thing is to tell them the truth but make sure it is on their level. You would not tell a teenager the same thing as a preschooler. Use simple language and answer questions simply from a preschooler. Make sure all children know it is not their fault.
